Common Side Effects Of Flagyl (Metronidazole)

Metronidazole belongs to the family of antibiotics and antiprotozoal drugs. It is marketed under different brand names, but its most popular and known brand name is Flagyl. It has been used successfully for treating various conditions, alone or in combination with other antibiotics.  It has been known to be effective in the treatment of certain bacterial infections involving the vagina, stomach, liver, skin, joints, brain and the respiratory tract. It is used in the treatment of parasitic infections like Giardia infections of the small intestines, amoebic liver abscess, amoebic dysentery, trichomonas vaginal infections and in trichomonas asymptomatic carriers.
